Dear Restoration family,

As many of you know, Michele Jacobson graciously, willingly and joyfully stepped in to lead Restoration Kids Ministry as the Interim Kids Director in July 2022. She has provided stability and consistency through our move to this building. With your partnership, the number of students and adults serving in and with our kids has never been higher. Please share your appreciation with her.

As we have settled into our new space, and as kids and families have increased over the past many months, the Leadership Team and Michele have been in prayer and conversation about the needs and dreams with Restoration Kids. In addition to giving much of her free time to ministry at Restoration, Michele also works full time. In order for the families of Restoration to have the time and attention we desire to give, additional leadership and hours are needed to this critical ministry. We desire to carry the ministry forward with paid staff who can invest in families, discipleship, and outreach-on Sundays and beyond. Michele plans to continue sharing her gifts and strengths with the families of Restoration.

What you may not know is Paula Herko, in addition to her digital, technical and project-manager skills, has over a decade of past kids and students ministry experience. The leadership team has spent several weeks in conversation alone, and with Paula, about what it could and would look like to add to her current position with Restoration.

We believe Paula has the passion, experience, desire, ability and character to lead this important area of ministry. She has and will continue to keep most of her digital strategies, website and communication responsibilities. Michele will assist her in her kids and families role and we are looking for a few skilled volunteers to assist her with the communication, administration and technical ministry support roles that she currently fills.

The Leadership Team approved to increase Paula to full-time hours to help with the expanded role. As these needed volunteer roles are filled, this will allow her to invest more time relationally and spiritually in our kids, students and families.

Michele and Paula will make this transition during the month of May. I look forward with expectation to what God has in store for us and for this corner of God’s kingdom with Paula Herko as our ‘new’ Director of Family Ministry and Digital Communication
with hope,
Pastor Rob
