NEW! Westview Backpacks + Shoes
VBS is a special week for our kids and friends to take their faith to the next level, make new friends and work together to raise money for a good cause in our community. For several years, Restoration has used the money raised by our VBS kids to buy shoes and backpacks for our community partner, Westview Elementary.
Here’s how you can help:
+ KIDS: The Coin Wars competition has been SO FIERCE this week and currently the boys are winning! The group that wins at the end of the week will get to throw a pie in the face of Paula or Luke Jacobson!!! Bring your missions offering tomorrow or Friday to be counted in the competition.
+ ADULTS: You can bring new backpacks to church with you on Sundays through August 27. If you would like to make a financial contribution to the Boys Team or Girls Team, please text Paula the Team (Boy or Girl) and dollar amount before 9am on Friday. Cell: 352-408-8720
The staff at Westview have provided a detailed list of shoe sizes so we will use the funds to purchase the shoes and additional backpacks to meet their need. Thank you for partnering with us to love the staff, students and families at Westview Elementary. Contact Stef Carlson with any questions.
Outdoor Worship + Baptism Service
August 27 at 10am | Crystal Lake Park, Burnsville, MN
We’ll worship together, celebrate believer baptisms at the lake and then spend time in community over a picnic lunch. This is a great opportunity to invite someone to church in a beautiful setting outside in God’s creation. Grilled meat, beverages, chips, condiments, and dinnerware will be provided.
Last names A-L, please bring a SIDE or SALAD to share; M-Z please bring a DESSERT to share. We recommend bringing lawn chairs for your comfort. Bring some games to play too! Note there will not be Restoration Kids that Sunday so kids can enjoy worship with their families.
ALSO: Baptism is a very important spiritual milestone for a person who has come to know and love Jesus Christ. If you have felt God’s call to take this step our outdoor worship and baptism service is a great time to do that. This gives us the opportunity to celebrate with you as a church family and rejoice in this important next step.

Women’s Book Discussion Group
his month we will be reading As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh. Please invite a new friend! This women’s group focuses on discussing literature and stretching our typical reading habits. Often it’s easy to read the same types of books, so we decided to try something different this month. Do you have a good idea for a book? Please bring anything you’d like to propose we read!
