Two Services Survey Update

The Leadership Team has important updates to share concerning our anticipated transition to two services.

First and foremost, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed tirelessly toward preparing for this significant change. Your dedication has been instrumental in moving us closer to this milestone. Secondly, thank you to those of you who shared input and feedback through the survey last month. This gave us a good benchmark to plan from.

After careful and prayerful evaluation and discussion, we have decided to postpone the transition originally scheduled for October 29. The reason for this delay is our commitment to ensuring that the move aligns well with the needs and capacity of our community. We don’t want to move too early and have lopsided services. We have had several Sundays this fall (and last spring) that have filled our kids classes and our parking lot, but we haven’t met those capacities consistently each week. Specifically, we are looking for more consistency with our higher attendance averages for both our worship services and Restoration Kids classes before making this transition.

Noteworthy Updates:

New Children’s Classroom: To address immediate needs, we’ve allocated an additional room for Restoration Kids. Although this is not a long-term solution, as it has necessitated the repurposing of our Study/Cry Room, it serves our current needs adequately.

Expanded Parking: We are pleased to announce that 7 to 8 additional parking spaces will be permanently added to our parking lot. This will help alleviate immediate pressure in our parking lot while we continue to grow.

In light of these updates, we encourage you to join us each week and invite your friends and family to become part of our community and worship services on Sundays at 10 AM. We will be ready to make this change when the need is there.

We thank you for your understanding, your commitment, and most importantly, for being an integral part of our Restoration community. We will continue to provide updates as we progress in this adventure.

Colossians 3:16-17 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

    SHARE YOUR IMMERSE STORY

How has Immerse inspired you? We want to hear from you!We would love to hear from you about your Immerse experience and how this series has inspired you. Whether your story comes from a Sunday sermon, from a moment in your small group discussion from the week, or at home when following along with the daily reading, we’d love to hear how Immerse has impacted you throughout this series. It doesn’t need to be long or profound, we simply want to share in celebrating with you how Immerse has been special for you in reading the Bible in a fresh way. Email your impact story to Pastor Rob at robjacobson@restorationcov.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

Tuesday, November 7th from 7-8:30 we will be gathering at Restoration Church once more for 2023 to discuss Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. This novel is slightly on the shorter side, so we are going to give ourselves 4 weeks to read it so we can take a break over the holidays and start meeting in January again. Please bring a treat to share and invite a friend! Any Questions, call or text Ellie Holmquist at 320-766-3978
