Beautiful and Bittersweet Transitions
It is with a mix of joyful anticipation and bittersweetness that we bless Leanne Esch in her transition out of her staff role as the Spiritual Care Coordinator at Restoration Church. She has taken a new position as Retreat Ministry Director with Restoration Ministries, the organization that supports her spiritual direction work. We are grateful for the inspiring ministries Leanne has led during her time on staff and thankful for all the ways Leanne has shown care to us through the difficult seasons and good times of life. We are thankful she will continue to be a part of our Restoration family and continue to serve as the Restoration Prayer Team ministry leader.
We are also pleased to share that Kate Alter will begin serving as our new Care Ministry Coordinator. We are looking to hire a worship director and/or an assistant pastor/ministry director to fill our staff gaps. The leadership team will share more about staffing at our annual Vision Meeting Celebration Sunday, June 25. We will also recognize Leanne’s staff contributions at that time. If you would like to send a card of thanks or blessing for Leanne’s new adventure, you may send it to the church before June 25 so we can present those at the celebration.

LEANNE’S LETTER:
It has been a rewarding, fun and growth-filled experience to be a part of the staff of Restoration Church. Restoration, you have an amazing group of people serving this church! I have so enjoyed working alongside Rob, Paula, Ellie, Chrystine, Daniel, Matthew and Misty in my tenure as Spiritual Care Coordinator over the last two and a half years. It has been an emotional, difficult process for me to let go of my staff position in order to pursue a new opportunity that God basically put in my lap. I was not looking for this position, but it found me!
My involvement with Restoration Ministries (different from Restoration Church) began in 2018 when I began my training to become a spiritual director. For the last year I have been part of their cohort of Spiritual Directors. (You can find my bio on their website: restorationmn.org.) I am thrilled with the opportunity to lead their retreat ministry, and believe it is God’s next “yes” for my life.
I will continue to be actively engaged at Restoration Church and will stay on as the Prayer Ministry Leader in a volunteer capacity. I am very excited to announce that Kate Alter will be taking over as the care ministry team leader through her position as a member of our Leadership Team. I believe God has called her to this and she will be an organized, compassionate leader of our care ministry.
Restoration Church, thank you all, especially the staff, for the ways you have supported, encouraged, blessed and prayed for me. It is such a blessing to be part of this church!
