An Update From Chrystine Vilhauer
Greetings Restoration!
It is with much excitement that I bring you a little update on my next steps. When I stepped down from the Kids Director position last summer, I was eager to rest and spend time with my family. I knew God would show me my next steps when it was time, fully expecting that it would take a while. My assumption was also that it would look more like my former social worker roles than in any type of ministry setting. As usual, however, God’s timing and plans we different than my own. I am delighted to announce that I have accepted the position of Director of Children’s Ministry at New City Covenant Church in Edina. Of course, it is with a mix of joy and sadness that I share this news. I am so excited to step into this new role and there is joy in the confidence that I will be using my gifts and skills to do the work that God is calling me into. There is also sadness, however, in leaving a church that I love dearly and that has loved me and my family so well for the past nine years. I will always be grateful for this wonderful community and for the ways that God used Restoration to grow and shape me. I know the heart and leadership of this church and feel confident that God is going to use Restoration to change lives and bring hope to our community and I will be praying and cheering you along the entire way!
December 4 will be my last Sunday at Restoration. My family will be around for a few more weeks as they fulfill various commitments but will begin worshipping at New City in the new year.
Blessings,
Chrystine Vilhauer
