Hello Restoration Family!

God is at work in our community, and I am thrilled to share a brief recap from our recent Vision Meeting as we enter a new year of ministry at Restoration. You can watch the full Vision Sunday by clicking HERE.

Faithfulness in Giving and Approved Budget
First, we want to express our gratitude for your continued faithfulness in giving. Second, the members present at the meeting unanimously voted to approve the 2024-2025 budget that allows us to focus on key areas this year:

Focus on Mission and Ministry
We’re committed to furthering our mission of being a community restored by Jesus to bring hope to the world.

  • Our staff is dedicated to equipping and empowering our congregation, providing resources and support to help you grow in your faith, ministry and mission.

  • Facilities Expansion Planning Project: We are in the beginning stages of discovery and exploration of how we could expand our facilities to more fully live out our mission and restore people in Jesus.

God Stories of Faith and Commitment
We were inspired by the many stories of faith and commitment during Vision Sunday. Here were a few highlights:

  • Serving with Joy: Jon Steiner shared a beautiful testimony of how his YES to serving has increased his faith and grown his relationships with others.

  • Student Testimonies: A few of our teens spoke about the importance of prayer and faith-filled friendships in their lives. It’s encouraging to see their passion and commitment to growing in their faith.

  • Global Partner Update: We watched a video from the Morgenstern’s on their work serving God in Thailand.

Thank you for being an important part of our faith family. Your support, prayers, and commitment to serve make all the difference as we continue to follow God’s vision for Restoration Church.

August 25 at 10am | Crystal Lake Park, Burnsville, MN

We’ll worship together, celebrate believer baptisms at the lake and then spend time in community over a picnic lunch. This is a great opportunity to invite someone to church in a beautiful setting outside in God’s creation. Grilled meat, beverages, chips, condiments, and dinnerware will be provided.

Last names A-L, please bring a SIDE or SALAD to share; M-Z please bring a DESSERT to share. We recommend bringing lawn chairs for your comfort. Bring some games to play too! Note there will not be Restoration Kids that Sunday so kids can enjoy worship with their families.

Baptism is a very important spiritual milestone for a person who has come to know and love Jesus Christ. If you have felt God’s call to take this step our outdoor worship and baptism service is a great time to do that. This gives us the opportunity to celebrate with you as a church family and rejoice in this important next step.

Do you have questions about being Baptized? Pastor Rob would love to have a conversation with you! If you have hesitations about being baptized in a lake, we have options! Contact Pastor Rob to start the conversation.

August Patio Parties!

This August, Restoration will be hosting Patio Parties as a way to act on our value of being authentic people living in community with one another. Patio Parties are a casual way of meeting or getting to know other people at church. Hosts will be opening their homes and groups will meet to share a meal and/or drinks on the patio. We would love to have you join us!

Summer Service Opportunity

Join us as we partner with North City Church in serving at their Community Dinners!

North City Church is a fellow Evangelical Covenant Church in North Minneapolis that receives our Global Partner Grant. Through the grant, Restoration has sponsored one full Community Dinner.

We are now looking to further participate in this partnership through filling volunteer spots for two Sundays this summer. This opportunity will allow us to experience how North City Church loves their neighbors in the way of Jesus and be a part of how Jesus changes communities around the table.

What: Restoration community volunteering to serve at Community Dinners hosted by North City Church.

Where: Webber Park, 4300 Webber Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55412

When: Sunday evenings from 4:15-6:30pm on July 21 or August 11.
Click now and select either July 21 or Aug 11 both labeled RESTORATION COV.

For more information on Community Dinners with North City Church, visit their website.

Register for VBS!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a one-week, half-day summer camp where kids learn more about the Bible and the unconditional love of Jesus. Through music, skits, games, stories and activities, kids will experience God in a whole new way. VBS is for kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade.

VOLUNTEER AT VBS

VBS is possible because volunteers sacrifice time and energy for children to learn about Jesus!

UPDATED VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

  • Set Up Team! Help us during the week of July 29 to decorate, organize supplies and get ready for VBS to begin!

Fall Retreat Interest Form

As we plan and work on details for the Fall Church-Wide Retreat, we would greatly appreciate it if everyone could complete this quick form.

Online Giving

There’s no time like the present to set up online giving. Online tithing is a way to remain faithful in your giving regardless of worshipping with us in-person or online. Decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. We encourage you to consider giving online so that your giving is regular and easy to manage – it’s easy to sign up HERE. You can also Text to Give by texting any dollar amount to 84321.

Pray or Receive Prayer

We’ve made it easy for you to share your prayer requests.

  • Send PRAY FOR ME in a text message to: (833) 482-6846.
  • Respond to the message and let us know how we can be praying for you.
  • We will respond to let you know when you’ve been prayed for.
