We are thrilled to welcome Leanne Esch as a part of the staff here at Restoration. She will be leading our Spiritual Care Ministry and is available to meet with you, pray with you and be a support to you and your family. We wanted to share the beautiful words she spoke from the Vision Update Meeting so you can “hear” her heart.
FROM LEANNE:

When I first started coming to Restoration, I decided to stay because it felt like a genuine, caring family to me. We are a group of people with big hearts and genuine love for God and for each other.
As a member of the Leadership Team, and now as someone who has been a part of several staff meetings, I know that we as the Leadership of the church care deeply about caring for each person. We have more conversations than you can realize about how to care for one another during these times. I also know it has been a hard year to stay on top of all of that, and we have not always cared for everyone in all the ways we wish we could. I hope we as a community can do more to facilitate caring relationships with one another. Adopt a Family has been a good step forward in that.
I am really grateful that Restoration is seeing a need to put some resources in the area of facilitating care and prayer, and I feel called and excited to be part of it. While we ALL bear the burden, and carry the joy, of caring for one another, I want to be a part of making more opportunities for people to engage in prayer and in caring for each other.
Praying and caring for others is in my bones. It is how God has made me. I am a licensed social worker and I have received training as a spiritual director. If you need someone to talk to about the challenges in your life, I want you to consider me as someone you can contact. I will give what I can while balancing another job and my own work as a spiritual director. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me anytime.
Know that I mean it when I say this, it is such a blessing to serve as a part of this church, and I truly love you all.
