Late afternoon on New Year’s Eve, I was contacted by a donor who wanted to provide an opportunity for up to $20,000 of matching funds for Future Building Fund gifts given that day. I contacted Paula and our Finance Officer to set this up and Paula sent out an email blast and posted on social media early that evening not knowing how many people would be checking their emails and social media that night. I apologize if you didn’t receive the message. A big thank you to those that responded.
Electronically on 12/31/21, we received $9,095 and $12,300 in matching funds for a total of $21,395 to the Future Building Fund! On that evening, we received an additional $3,300 electronically to the General Fund and additional checks are still arriving in the mail for 2021 giving.
We also received another very large anonymous gift at the end of the year. We will share all this, and more, at the Vision Update Meeting on January 30 during our worship service. You don’t want to miss that. We praise God for the generosity of his people.
